Barry Sanders gave football a highlight reel every time he touched the football.  Throughout his college and pro days, he stunned fans with his electric play. But what about before college?

Thankfully (h/t Yahoo! Sports), a highlight film from Sanders’ high school days has appeared on the interwebs. Where it came from we don’t know, but who cares.

Sit back and watch the magic unfold. This is two minutes of football glory.

As this film proves, this guy was breaking ankles in high school, and Sanders could likely hit the field today and pick up where he left off.

After taking home the Heisman in 1988, Sanders was drafted by the Detroit Lions. He was a Pro Bowler and All-Pro selection all 10 seasons in the league. He was Rookie of the Year in 1989 and is a member of the elite 10,000-yard rushing club.

In 2004, Sanders was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the College Football Hall of Fame for his career at Oklahoma State.

Sanders finished his NFL career with 15,269 rushing yards and 99 touchdowns in 153 games played. He also added 2,921 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns.

His career ended before most thought it should, but Sanders stepped away from the game at his peak. He left a legacy of excellence and will always be regarded as one of the game’s all-time best.

Look for the Sanders’ magic to continue soon on the West Coast with Sanders’ son—Barry Jr.—taking the field for the Stanford Cardinal as a sophomore this fall.
