Three Safeties Ready For The Tide: Baron Breaks Into The Rotation

Nick Saban said it, so Mark Baron can bank on it. He has broken into the Bama rotation at the safety position.

The 6'2" sophomore, out of St. Paul's in Mobile, has been working hard since he walked on to the Capstone campus. He played in all 14 games as a true freshman chalking up nine solo tackles, 18 total tackles with 11 on special teams.

Against Arkansas, the high school All-American took down QB2, Tyler Wilson, on a safety blitz before the opposing quarterback had completed his four-step drop. Baron has the kind of speed that will cause hesitation and pressure QBs in the league forcing mistakes in close games.
