It wasn't pretty, but a win is a win—especially right now.  The Notre Dame Fighting Irish improve to 3-5 on the season and keep their hopes for a bowl berth alive with a win over the Miami Hurricanes, 30-27.

It was clearly a tale of two halves, and Notre Dame's biggest enemy on the night seemed to be Notre Dame.  Self-inflicted wounds kept the Hurricanes in the ball game, and the Notre Dame defense looked dismal over long stretches, allowing Miami to score 27 unanswered points.
