Virginia Tech held it's second scrimmage yesterday, and finally answered the question that has been hanging for the last several days. Ju-Ju Clayton will become the Hokie's backup quarterback, and Logan Thomas will redshirt.
Earlier last week, all reports seemed to hint that Thomas, a freshman phenom, had pulled ahead of Clayton and would likely be named the No. 2. Thomas was continuing to impress in practice, and Clayton appeared to be slipping behind.
After Saturday's scrimmage, however, Clayton appeared to have impressed enough to be named Taylor's backup.
