It wasn’t pretty, but No. 2 Clemson survived its trip to Jordan-Hare Stadium and left with a hard-fought 19-13 win over Auburn Saturday night.
With Deshaun Watson and a host of weapons returning, there was so much hope for Clemson’s offense heading into the season. The unit struggled against a surprisingly effective Auburn defense, though, as Watson threw for just 248 yards and one touchdown against one interception. Clemson finished with 400 yards of total offense, but that’s all they needed to get the win and keep their standing in the College Football Playoff race.
