The journey toward the 2016 College World Series continued with the start of the NCAA Division i Super Regionals on Friday.
Four games featuring eight of the nation's best teams kicked off a full weekend of college baseball action Friday. Five of the clubs in action are No. 1 seeds, with the East Carolina Pirates and Boston College Eagles playing the role of Cinderella as No. 3 seeds trying to pull off upsets.
The Super Regionals are contested in a best-of-three format, so one loss in the opening game doesn't spell doom for a team, though it does increase the sense of urgency moving forward.
