No. 1 Villanova extended its winning streak to 20 games with an 80-70 victory over No. 10 Creighton on Saturday afternoon at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

The double-digit margin of victory for the Wildcats is not indicative of what was a close and hard-fought contest throughout.

Villanova (14-0, 2-0 Big East) trailed by double digits in the first half as Creighton came out firing in front of an energized home crowd. But Jay Wright's team was able to weather the storm and fight back, taking a one-point lead into the break on a Kris Jenkins three in the closing seconds.
