DETROIT — Boston College 36, Maryland 30 (Final)

The Boston College Eagles held off a charge from the Maryland Terrapins to record a 36-30 victory in the 2016 Quick Lane Bowl.

Patrick Towles tossed a pair of touchdowns and caught another score to help Boston College finish the season 7-6. The program captured its first bowl victory since 2007.

Maryland running back Ty Johnson scampered for 159 yards and two touchdowns, but four turnovers doomed the Terps. They ended head coach D.J. Durkin's debut season at 6-7.
