North Carolina State finished an inconsistent season with a strong night, dominating Vanderbilt in the Independence Bowl 41-17 to finish the year 7-6.
Niles Clark's pick-six at the end of the game put the cherry on top of what already was a lopsided victory. Swiss army knife offensive star Jaylen Samuels had three touchdown receptions to pace the Wolfpack.
Though the Commodores looked like they may rally in the fourth quarter following a 71-yard punt return and subsequent rushing score by Ralph Webb, N.C. State's Nyheim Hines took the ensuing kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown to end the threat.
