It was a bizarre, back-and-forth affair between Appalachian State and Toledo in the Camellia Bowl Saturday night, but a late missed field goal from the Rockets preserved the bowl victory and a 10-win season for the Mountaineers.
Taylor Lamb was the catalyst for the Appalachian State offense, piling up 245 total yards and two touchdowns against a solid Toledo defense. The Rockets had a hard time moving the ball through the air, throwing for 82 fewer yards (247) than they averaged during their nine-win regular season (329).
