College basketball has a new No. 1 team.

Fresh off waxing Michigan State and watching top-ranked Duke fall, Kentucky ascended to the top spot in the latest Associated Press rankings Monday. Kentucky is followed by defending champion Villanova, Indiana, North Carolina and Kansas in the remainder of the Top Five.
