LSU 38, Ole Miss 21—Final
Leonard Fournette rushed for a school-record 284 yards, leading the No. 25 LSU Tigers to a 38-21 victory over the 23rd-ranked Ole Miss Rebels in an SEC clash Saturday night.
Fournette needed just eight carries to eclipse the previous mark, but his explosive performance may overshadow a stellar night from the defense. LSU surrendered just 56 yards during the second half, excluding Ole Miss' final drive.
The Tigers improved to 5-2 (3-1 SEC) on the year, including a 3-0 record under interim coach Ed Orgeron.
Ole Miss averaged a season-low 4.7 yards per snap and dropped to 3-4 (1-3). Chad Kelly threw two interceptions in the loss.
