Following an abysmal opening weekend, the SEC turned in a stout effort in Week 2 as the conference won all of its nonconference games thanks in large part to some explosive offensive performances.

Arkansas and Tennessee were the big winners on Saturday with two impressive nonconference wins. The Hogs went into Fort Worth, Texas, and came out with a wild 41-38 win over TCU in double overtime, while the Volunteers drubbed Virginia Tech 45-24 in front of the biggest crowd in college football history at Bristol Motor Speedway.
