Alabama fresh off of a successful regular season that included victories over arch-rivals Auburn and LSU were expected to be too much for the Virginia Tech Hokies, instead the Crimson Tide was completely outplayed by Frank Beamer's Hokies before a sell out crowd.

Even though Alabama had lost to Florida months ago it appeared to many that Alabama had turned the corner under their popular Head Coach headed into his third season at Alabama.

Those thoughts were the last thing on Alabama fans minds as the filed out of the stadium stunned and disappointed by what they had just witnessed.
