Coach Rodriguez announced that incoming freshmen Adrian Witty and JT Turner are in the process of being evaluated by the NCAA for their academic eligibility. Going into the summer, Michigan fans were concerned that Jeremy Gallon would not qualify but the news regarding these two is a bit surprising.
Michigan's secondary is already thin, and both players were expected to compete for playing time, especially Justin Turner, who was a highly touted physical recruit from Northern Ohio (he was ranked the No. 1 overall player in Ohio last year). Turner is capable of playing both corner and safety, although coaches have said he'll start off at corner.
