For the third straight year, Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban is integrating a new starting quarterback into his offense. Making matters worse, his two best options have no experience at the college level. Blake Barnett is a redshirt freshman, while Jalen Hurts was a ...

LSU’s Loss to Wisconsin Puts Entire Season on Red Alert for Les Miles and Tigers
After arguably having the line of the week leading up to LSU’s season opener against Wisconsin—saying if his players attempted a Lambeau Leap, they'd “end up with their thumb out to see if they can get a ride home"—head coach Les Miles might soon need to hitch a lift himself.
Only his could be out of Baton Rouge if LSU doesn’t have a remarkable turnaround. After barely escaping being fired last November, Miles’ status was more ...

Winners and Losers from Week 1 of College Football
The 2016 college football season arrived in style, and the loaded slate of Week 1 games looked even better on the field than on paper.
The madness started early, with a Top 10 team in the Associated Press poll nearly losing to a Sun Belt team on Thursday.
On Friday, a team from last year's College Football Playoff had issues putting away an FCS middleweight.
And on Saturday, before the late games even kicked off, a pair of ...

College Football Scores 2016: Week 1 Results and Top Stars for Top 25 Teams
It was not supposed to be an easy opening game for the Oklahoma Sooners as they went into Houston to play the 15th-rated Cougars, but there was no way Baker Mayfield and his teammates were supposed to come away with a loss.
The third-ranked Sooners were expected to be legitimate national championship challengers to Alabama and Clemson, and their class was supposed to make a difference in this game.
However, Oklahoma ran into a fired-up Houston team, ...
Clemson vs. Auburn: Live Score, Highlights for Tigers vs. Tigers
Clemson 19, Auburn 13 — Final
It wasn’t pretty, but No. 2 Clemson survived its trip to Jordan-Hare Stadium and left with a hard-fought 19-13 win over Auburn Saturday night.
With Deshaun Watson and a host of weapons returning, there was so much hope for Clemson’s offense heading into the season.
