Bernard Schirmer Arrested After Punching Referee on Video

Authorities from Ventura County, California, arrested Mount San Antonio College offensive lineman Bernard Schirmer after he struck an official during a game against Ventura College on Saturday night, per the Ventura County Star's Joe Curley.  Sgt. Mike Pallotto of the Ventura College Police Department confirmed Schirmer was arrested on suspicion of battery. Following an abysmal opening weekend, the SEC turned in a stout effort in Week 2 as the conference won all of its nonconference games thanks in large part to some explosive offensive performances.
