Clemson vs. Georgia Tech: Score and Twitter Reaction
There were lingering questions about the No. 5-ranked Clemson Tigers after early six-point wins against the Auburn Tigers and Troy Trojans, but Clemson's defense provided loud answers in Thursday's ACC clash against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
The Tigers went to Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta and walked away with a commanding 26-7 victory over the Yellow Jackets as Clemson's defense kept its previously undefeated foe's triple-option offense in check throughout the contest.

A Match Made in the Bayou: Why Danny Etling Needs LSU as Much It Needs Him
The words "football," "savior" and "Indiana" don't often go together unless someone makes some sort of reference to that school in South Bend.
It's not a state LSU has often looked to for players, either. In the football program's long history, there have been only three lettermen from Indiana—interestingly, one of them was a quarterback who won a national championship, Matt Mauck.
Mauck grew up a little south of where Danny Etling did in Terre Haute, on the ...
Big Ten May Be Top-Heavy, but It’s Still Best Conference in College Football
In 2014, Paul Finebaum authored a book titled My Conference Can Beat Your Conference: Why the SEC Still Rules College Football.
Two years later, it's looking like it might be time for a follow-up.
Or a retraction.
Says who?
Finebaum, himself.
"Right now, repeat after me, read my lips: The Big Ten is the best conference in college football," Finebaum said during a Monday appearance on ESPN's College Football Live.
Understand that Finebaum's making such a statement carries a certain level of ...
Clemson vs. Georgia Tech: Live Score, Highlights for Tigers vs. Yellow Jackets
All of the college football world was watching Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson on Thursday night's national stage, but the young Tigers defense stole the show.
Coordinator Brent Venables' defense put on a clinic in how to stop Georgia Tech's triple-option offense, and the Tigers smothered the Yellow Jackets in their ACC opener, 26-7.
Tech had just 23 yards of total offense in an abysmal first half, and 15 of those came on a half-ending run. By then, ...
Jonathan Allen’s Return to Alabama a Boost for Tide D and His NFL Future
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Like so many others associated with the University of Alabama football program, defensive lineman Jonathan Allen was shocked when watching the National Football League’s draft this past spring.
Three Crimson Tide defensive players had been hailed as likely first-round selections, yet none of them ended up being so. A day later, they were among five Alabama picks in the second round, with All-American linebacker Reggie Ragland going No. 41 overall to the Bills, ...
Georgia Commits D’Andre Swift and Mark Webb Discuss Future of Bulldogs Offense
WARMINSTER, Pa. — Throughout a battle between two of the Philadelphia area's premier high school football programs Friday night, conversations along the sidelines repeatedly circled back to a faraway university.
Archbishop Wood High School receiver Mark Webb joined cousin and St. Joseph's Prep standout D'Andre Swift in the Georgia Bulldogs' 2017 recruiting class shortly before their respective teams competed on a national television broadcast. Approximately 800 miles away from Athens, Georgia, it was impossible to miss the magnitude of head ...

SEC Extra Points: Trash Talk Adds Fuel to Florida vs. Tennessee Rivalry
For more than a decade, Florida has owned Tennessee.
The Gators have reeled off 11 straight wins over their SEC East rivals and will look to make it 12 this weekend on Rocky Top in a rematch of what was the de facto division title game last year.
At least one Gator is guaranteeing a 12th.
"Have you ever seen a duck pull a truck? Ducks don’t pull trucks," defensive back Quincy Wilson said, according to Nick de la ...
